| Planning a Garden | |
| If you are planning a garden to liven up your landscape, we may able to give you some helpful hints. As the planner of the garden you will first need to answer 4 main questions. The first being what is the purpose of the garden, the second question is what are the existing conditions of the area now, the third is do you have any financial limits on what you can spend and lastly are there any type of maintenance implications.
The elements of a garden consist of natural conditions and some materials, examples of Natural conditions are soil, rocks, wind, precipitation, and air quality, and pollution, closeness to the ocean and plant materials. Examples of man made elements include Terrace, patio or deck, paths, lighting, raised beds, any outdoor sculptures like Gazebos, pool, water garden and fountains. If you aren’t sure what you want to use the gardening space for here are some ideas. Maybe you want to create a place to relax with your family, dinners outside or flowerbeds among benches or a place to sit in the sun. Maybe you are looking to have a place to bird watch or a place to bring birds in with feeders among a flower filled garden. Different types of gardens include Orchards, Lawn, Flower, Cactus, Wildflower, Winter Garden or a Vegetable Garden. It is your garden and maybe you have some creative ideas of your own. Make your garden something that your friends will envy. |
