| One of the two most important things need in gardening, a green thumb and the right tools. Without either one you are going to have an interesting looking garden. The green thumb theory is based up your knack for gardening, some people have it and others don’t. You can learn though by practice and by using the right tools. A garden tool is one of a long line of tools that are used to in gardening.
Garden tools can be either hand tools or power tools. The hand tools used by gardeners began when agricultural was first being introduced way back in the early centuries; the tools were primitive but useful. Today hand tools are more modified than those in the 1800’s. Some of the more popular hand tools used fro gardening include the spade, hose, pitchfork, the garden fork and the garden rake and the plough. The earlier tools were made from wood, flint and bone materials. Then came the metal tools, first there were made from copper and then in steel, mostly cutting tools are made by metal, these types include pruning shears, grass shears and rakes. Then came power tools, these tools were the lawn mower, cultivators, trimmers, sprinklers, hedge trimmers, lawn edger, leaf blowers, weed whackers and mini tractors. The better the tool the better the gardening outcome will be. If you use tools that aren’t up to the job then the job doesn’t come out right. |
